Pet Portraits From Photos

Pet Artist Featured In The Kansas City Star!

New LOW Prices!!

selfimage.jpg

Hello, welcome to my site.  My name is Jim Ware and I enjoy painting portraits of pets.  Painting animals is one of my most favorite things to do.

Having had several pets in my life, I know just how special they become.  They really are like one of the family.  Commissioning an oil portrait of your special friend has to be one of the grandest ways to honor their life and their memory.  Their unconditional love is without equal in this world.

MY PORTRAITS ARE:

  • Hand-painted by me rather than computer generated simulations of an oil painting
  • Painted on acid-free professionally-prepared canvases
  • Painted with top-quality oil pigments
  • Allowed to dry to the touch before they are ever shipped (about two weeks)
  • Ready for framing when you receive them

I have limited my product line to just two sizes of portraits, but that doesn't mean I am not open to discussing other sizes.  Please call me if you don't like the choices above and let's talk.  I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement on size and price.

Several of my paintings are on display at The Raintree Animal Health Center, 857 SW Lemans Lane, Lee's Summit, Mo.
For more examples of my work, go to www.facebook.com and enter Jim Ware Works in the search box.

Just Follow These Simple Steps

1-Select a few pictures from your pet photos that we can look at together.

2- Send me an email with the photos attached or send them in the regular mail with your phone number included.  Together, we can select the one that best represents your subject's personality and has the potential to be an attractive oil painting, too.

3- After we're happy with the picture, you will send me a check for $100 to get things started.

4- If you have email and provide your address, I will send you two emails with pictures of the painting.  The first will be when the painting is about half done.  The final one will be to show the finished portrait.  I will ship it within two weeks to give it time to dry.  During these two weeks of drying, I will need a check from you for the balance of the portrait fee (depends on the size you chose).

5- I appreciate your business very much and hope you will share my name with friends and family who may also be interested in preserving a love one's image.  Enjoy!

A Few Comments From My Clients

"In 2008 the loss of our family dog, Millie, hit all of us incredibly hard. A family pet that was bought by my brother and I had become a cornerstone in our family. Especially to my mom and dad. After her loss, I could think of no better way pay tribute to her 15 years of loyal friendship. The painting and the video brought tears to all of our eyes as we paid tribute to undying loyalty, friendship, and love from our Millie."

“My husband was thrilled with the painting of Kodi.  I know when we opened it, we all had tears in our eyes as it looked exactly like Kodi, right down to every last spot.  We've placed the painting in our living room and every time we see it, it feels like Kodi is still here, watching over us.  Thank you again for this amazing painting that will ensure us that even though Kodi is gone, the memory of our beloved Blue Heeler will always remain.

I will absolutely recommend you and your wonderful talent to family and friends and again I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this Christmas present one my husband will never forget.  Thank you!!!!

Sincerely,

Meaghan H.

"I just gave Bill the picture of Dallas and Scarlett.  He was surprised!  He loved the picture....he thought it was quite accurate.  He was very pleased!

Mary and I told him how you kept us apprised of your progress by sending emails complete with pictures. Thank you so much for a job well done.  I

will certainly spread the word among my friends."

"Jim -- I'm sure my sister already told you, but my husband was blown away by her gift. It was hung with care within minutes of getting back home with it. Great job. True talent. We will both treasure it."

"My husband, Alex adored his Christmas gift of your portrait painting of Bucky.  We have it hung in the back hall which you can actually see from the kitchen and from the family room; it was the perfect spot to show him off!  Thank you, Jim; we could not have asked for a better painting of our most treasured dog. You helped make our Christmas really special this year.  Our best to you!"
